The idea that we create for ourselves, earn for ourselves, and achieve only for ourselves is dead. We have to create a space for everyone who wants a seat at the table.

Why? When opportunities are available to everyone, then we will see the true power of humanity. The ability to create and solve the greatest problems of mankind.

This seems like a grand idea, and you may ask “what does this have to do with tech?”

Well, tech is a great leveler. With the proper physical infrastructure in place, more people will be able to learn and create – even those living in the most remote areas. I have seen how empowering it can be for women in tech, who shun the idea that tech is a male-oriented field and take the leap. Many have finally seen the true freedom that comes with earning and creating value – often in areas affecting people on many continents at a time.

This is just a drop in the bucket. We have a long way to go. I have decades more to champion the cause of women in tech, kids in tech, and promoting a digital economy.
